For the 2009 model year, the BMW M6 gets the competition package which includes lower front springs by 12 millimetres and 10 millimetres at the rear, adapted suspension control systems and forged alloy wheels in double spoke design. Also, a re-contoured hood features two new raised accent lines.
Outside of the competition package the M6 as well as the M5 receive new exterior mirrors with widened field of view.
Carbon black metallic has been added to the range of available colours.

Facelifts can only do that much to eliminate wrinkles grandma.
You calling the M6 old and aging? It's a few years old but struth, I'd love an M6 sitting in my garage. I think it still looks bloody hot:-)
wrong. the 6 series and especially the M6 are definitely the best looking bimmers on sale, and also some of the best looking bmw's ever made. and those who ask about the sleepy-eyed thing? ever notice how models always have their eyes half closed? it's intentional, and that's the same reason it has been used here.
I just vomited in my mouth. Facelifts either do wonders, or blunders. BMW has started going down the blunders route now. For shame... *cry*
Are you serious? The M6 has always been considered Bangles best work. To say it's vomit inducing is really harsh.
What part of the facelift makes u want to throw up?
When ever i see one of these it looks like its falling asleep , why not have the same design or something different like the m3?
The M6 is a very hot car finish en klaar!!! lol I have a merc fan as a friend and, although I don't agree with it's looks, he drove the Z4 and since then he understands the hype about BMW. Sure some of them don't look too good but they drive so well...
After driving them, I can understand why people love them. But the M6 (or 6 series for that matter) just doesn't do it for me. Its a great car though. Technical marvel of our time!
