now lets say a car company shut off half the cylinders, and turbo charged this car back up to 500 hp. Which car would you rather drive? Personally the 6.8 liter would be epically more fun with its ultra flat torque curve allowing you to gain great confidence in the cars handling/power.

Joe, I'm with you on this one ( Take the Ferrari 599 for instance).

The Rear bumper seems a bit over-done, but i still like it as i'ld hope it serves an aerodynamic purpose. Whatever the case, the car overall is very nice.

It is probably tuned down because of all the carbon fiber parts on it. If they unleash the full potential of that engine, who knows what would fly off the car first. But then again, that asks the next question; why increase the displacement with much less power than it can really produce?

This is the sickest looking vette ever created. If you don't think so yet, just google it to see more.

"why increase the displacement with much less power than it can really produce?" It's called engineering -- or lack thereof.

You guys honestly like this? It looks like something out of a 1990's arcade game. Also, there is more to performance than HP; I'm sure Specter Werkes isn't stupid enough to make a soggy 'Vette.

This package comes from a base c6 which comes with 430 hp so this is gaining 100 extra hp. and a base c6 is 45k so the finish product is about 80k so a c6 z06 would be better.

the car looks amazing, but i'd much rather have a smaller displacement engine with a couple of turbochargers... i just don't get it why do they make such huge engines with such little power nowadays. oh and if you want a flat torque curve, look at what Volkswagen did with their supercharger + turbocharger combination. 125 kW (170 hp) at 6000 rpm and 240 Nm of torque available from 1500 rpm all the way up to 4750 rpm... from a 1.4 liter engine.

You're missing the point... the Corvette is still a muscle car. And in their narrow, little ideological world, there is NO replacement for DISPLACEMENT.

Also, a side benefit of an engine like this and the Vipers is that yea its 500hp but its also 500 easily made horsepower. Meaning the engine isn't under nearly as much strain as smaller displacement engines making as much hp. Thats at least a good thing in the long run.

woo 170 hp turbo and supercharged... again not a new concept it's called a twin charger very hard to make work and from what i've read about the VW twin is it's a piece of crap... and soggy vette i know u were putting faith in the spectre company but really their hasn't been a soggy vette... and look it's GM with billions of loyal customers that love their stuff their not going anywhere any time in our lifetimes or your grandchildrens for that matter
