Imagine the complexities of obtaining insurance for your street legal racecar. Caterham has just made that process easier for Seven owners. Caterham has drafted a policy designed to suite all the requirements that are inherent to the lifestyle of the owner, including track day coverage* and modifications.

Caterham Sales & Marketing Director, Andy Noble, explains: “For the thrill of driving and the joy of ownership, the Seven simply can't be compared to any other vehicle; this is why Caterham believe it can't be insured the same way. With our own insurance, customers are able to come to one of our showrooms and, whether it's a new or used car they're interested in, we can sort a complete deal under one roof.”

As an introductory offer, Caterham Insurance is offering four years no claims bonus to new customers.

Agreed values can be provided for cars over 10 years old and claims can be made 365 days of the year and all repair work is carried out at one of Caterham's three locations. All policies include free breakdown cover and there's no excess to pay on windscreen repair or replacement if the work is undertaken by Caterham.

correct me if I am wrong but, new customers have to wait till they are not new customers before their introductory bonus kicks in?

What they mean is they will offer insurance to drivers with four years no claims (on any car) a cheaper rate. Good initiative though, imo; am a huge Caterham fan, and love their cars, so it's nice to see them making life easy for their customers... Let's hope they're cheaper than other insurers now.

Actually i think it means that for the first 4 years nothing will count as a claim on your record. Meaning even if you are at fault your rates will not increase.

It's a damn good idea if you ask me, getting vehicles like the Caterham insured can be a pain. The fact that they cover the service themselves is great for both Caterham (better cost control) and the costumer (less time spent between service and insurance company)!
