is it me or has ferrari not had a good-looking car since they dropped the 355? soon as they went off the sharp, straight lines theyre just getting worse and worse! jeremy clarkson has a point - we all think theyre good looking, cos theyre a ferrari so youd expect them to be gorgeous, but actually theyve bin hideous since the days of the f40, 355 etc. the f50 might scrape in... just...

Too plain.
Since the 360 modena they haven`t done a really good looking car.

What's wrong with a Maserati? nothing at all i presume - it's Italian and is cousins with Ferrari besides i think this Ferrari is a nicely designed car and is not an in 'your face angular so called futuristic design'. This Ferrari design is one that will stand the design negative aging effects of time. Besides a Ferrari is a car legend only second to the man that invented it. Scuderia!!!!
Nice car there and i love it.

Bravo Wisp. Nice to see a comment by someone who is positive rather than the negative comments from the masses who will never have one. Flame on...

I think I'd rather buy a Lotus Elise. Another ugly car joins the Ferrari ranks. I'll have to side with zix and Lucifa. I haven't seen a good looking Ferrari in ages.
For shame.

Maserati's are cool, but it isn't cool when Ferrari try to do something similar to them. This is an example.
Now I'm starting to agree with guy that said it looks like a new edition of the Toyota MR2 with a V8 swap, lol.

I think FIAT had a fair bit to do with this car hence why it looks like a Maserati.

i don't think it's the worst ferrari ever but i agree there have been better.but i think it looks a bit like a the convirtable gran turismo.

hmm... the luxury Ferraris i.e. 599/699 imo were ugly, the Enzo is pure sports so it's looks are so/so, f360/430/scuderia etc. models are very sexy cars, more along the lines of take your trophy wife out on the town kind of car rather then a track based sports car. All in all, I do believe that making a cheaper Ferrari isn't the right direction to go. it's like porsche making the rs version of the gt3, its just competing with gt2 sales. Cept with ferrari it is going to compete with Maserati Gran Turismo sales.

Understand Fiat owns both Ferrari and Maserati, there will be some similaraties in the lines and design of the there model line up. For a clown to say that he would consider the tight, uncomfortable Lotus Elise over a Ferrai California stop living in a fantasy world. If really considering buying a Lotus Elise (possible track car) you should also be considering a Scuderia, Mondena Challenge, not a Ferrari convertible. Each Ferrai that is released has history motivating the inspiration of the desgin don't compare this car to the 355, or 360. Compare it to the original 250 GT California spyder. Please understand that behind every car company there are different engineers, and desginers with different visions and should be judge failry not with cars that were released in 1995 or 1999 when different visions were expressed.

Last Ferrari I liked (design wise) was the 360 modena but who would say no to a test drive of this one?

Is there anyone who have really took a look to it? It´s a very beautiful car, i don´t know what the problem is with you all...
Very nice car. So cool.

It's the best looking Ferrari since the 275GTB, plus it's practical and very fast. Wish I could afford one.
July 24, 2008 5:49 pm
Agreed...it's definitely more classic looking than the 612, as a GT. The 599 has grown on me enough for me to say that the California is NOT the best looking Ferrari out right now. Definitely goes back to the classic lines of the 550/575M.

everyone mite just change their opinion if they see one and get a chance to sit in one. its got 550M lines all over it. don really see tat as evolving. but wat the hell. its a ferrari

Ferrais are designed by Pininfarina, I heard the initial design presentations were all stunning coupes, but marketing guys from USA did their so called research and came out demanding the desingers making serious changes. In the end, we a have the Ferrari version of the Mickey Mouse.

i like it very much...although i'll never be able to afford one:P Very nice car:)
