Although details are a bit sketchy, it seems Top Gear magazine was performing a photo shoot on the Isle of Man with a assortment of other “comparison” cars. Although it's not clear if an Audi R8 was one of those “comparisson” cars, it apparently rear ended the GT-R which stoped short.
Adding to the unsubstantiated story, the GT-R with a booked itinerary of appearances, including a toss up the Goodwood hill, was repaired over night and successfully fulfilled its obligations in its impure condition.

for racing yes, but this one had to be painted... overnight???
The crash could have been worse though. At least it wasn't wrecked.
@LMS Jc has a tax retreat at the isle of man and so do i , thats why they go there .
Honestly ive never seen such pathetic sodding people on a website wank*ing over men in a tv show...
Get a life
It's a good place to test cars because of the winding open roads and lack of speed limits. Plus it's conveniently close to Britain.
It ca only be an R8 anyway.
