[UPDATE 07.18.08: Cadillac CTS Wagon image added]

The latest set of leaked images have hit the net, and this time the credit must go to los Jalopniks from Jalopagos Island. Following a General Motors press conference in which Rick Wagoner spoke about a number of initiatives to prevent trouble in the future, images of a number of future products under the GM brand were leaked.

Starting with the Chevrolet brand, here are the first images of the all-new Cruze, a compact vehicle which will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show this September. It will measure 4.6 meters in length and have enough interior and cargo space to comfortably hold five passengers, sales will commence throughout Europe in the Spring of 2009.

Then comes the family of new crossovers currently under development on the same platform: the 2010 Chevrolet Equinox, the Cadillac SRX and the Saab 9-4X. Rumours had stated that the Cadillac version was to be re-badged as the BRX, but these leaked images seem to have thrown this theory out of the window.

Lastly comes the 2010 Buick LaCrosse which will be based on the same platform as the Cruze.

"Lastly comes the 2010 Buick LaCrosse which will be based on the same platform as the Cruze." I think the larger LaCrosse will be based on the GM Epsilon II platform. The Cruze rides on a GM Delta II platform.

now that's a big dish of bland. Who says cheap fuel efficient cars have to look like they were built in the most cost effective manner possible?

if the cruze is on a delta II platform then isn't it a chevy cobalt and saturn ion/astra replacement? that is a huge design evolution: low, wide/planted, short overhangs, and swooping roofline. the current delta platform is overweight yet rigid, and tall like a vw beetle. this is what the 2008 malibu is vs. the 2007

GM is not copying Japanese cars. You are way outdated. "low, wide/planted, short overhangs, and swooping roofline" is the trend now. And I don't think you ever bought American.

"Ammm Billy-Bob, we ain't selling no cars no more" "Well Jimbo, I gots myself the perfect solution for this here misfit! Let's build us some more big cars and some more 4x4s." And that, ladies and gentlemen, sums up the marketing strategy of a dying American car brand. Yeeehaaawww!
