Insane, 70hp per 100rpm gain... I think it goes without saying, but I want one.

Stock Moslers are very fast cars on their own, this car is like strapping wheels to a hurricane.

hahah the owner: ohhh please just stop it stop it... your hurting it boo hooo :P!!!! haha i can so see him doing that... telling the dudes to stop at 5600 rpm when it can go so much more :P man. I'd tell them to keep going, BUT if the car brakes down or explodes they buy me a new one which is improved and WON'T blow up :P

Controlling a stock Mosler 900 must not be an easy thing, so if you had 1000 horsepower...I guess its a technologic achievement.

The car would be undriveable with that much horsepower. You have wheel spin in every gear. A fine example of waste of time and resources

Haha I was just looking at the address on the top of the dyno sheet and realized that its just down the street from where I live.

n how does he plan to use all that power? :O

Most likely at some drag-strips and on the highway primarily. 1635hp would be probably only be used on the track. For the street he will probably have a tune limited to say 900whp, more street-able and such. Also when you go with turbo, the turbo only kicks in at a certain rpm as you all know. So with this kind of set-up until he is in his spool-range rpm, hes gonna be running pretty much stock power, making his car fairly street-able.

no point.. that car looks like its built for the track!! n 1635 bhp would only mean a very fast n expensive car going towards the tyre walls at break neck speeds at corners!! :P

So much for the idea of "No replacement for displacement".

it will undoubtedly set power and speed records then crash.

Overpowered cars = Fail. Seriously, do you need 1.6k horsepower?

Your name is Tuner_Mad.....ask the same question to guys running 1600(crank) HP Supras, Vipers, Corvettes and Skylines. You don't need that much power just like you don't need to be the fastest or run 8s on the quartermile in your street/daily driver, but that doesn't mean you don't want to ;).

But this car is a Mosler. For Japanese cars, its different. Just like Wolff said, this car is made for the track, so it shouldn't be too hard on power. People modify their Supras and skylines for the drag strip. You barely see cars with that kinda horsepower on a race track.

btw, wouldn't that kinda bhp make the wheels spin everytime you tap the pedal? not very nice for a daily driver.

Remember Tuner Mad, 1635hp would be track only set-up, never used on streets. On the street he would have a boost controller setting(any company has this ability), 1 of 3, 1 being 1635, 2 being the street set-up with say 900whp(1100crank). Also because its a turbo set-up he can have a set-up tuned for the street that only begins kicking in at around 35-3800rpm. That way hes only running stock(500-600hp) until he either downshifts or mashes the throttle. Virtually all guys who have street cars like Vipers, Corvettes and Supras have these kinds of boost controllers and set-ups. It allows them to run 8s in track-trim and run 9-10s in street trim. It makes the care useable and save some fuel by not rolling on power.

ummm... well at a mere 2500 rpm or around there u only have about 300 hp or so... that's pretty usable considering your not gonna FLOOR it everyday. the chart says at around 6000 rpm, you get 1635 hp??? something like that?? soooo this actually could be usable, just at a low rpm.
July 19, 2008 4:19 pm
un usable. wheel spin crashes cost mpg would be rubbish, and the only place you can use it is the german test truck wot eva its called ect

 great_supercars255 great_supercars255
even on the start line it would have to start alot slower than all the other cars, due to wheel spin, and also would be very slow out of corners so it wouldn't get very far in position, great engine, lack of brains though, no offence
