Mitsubishi have confirmed that they will build a baby SUV based on the Concept-cX which was fist unveiled back at the Frankfurt Motor Show last year. The new model will replace the Shogun-Pinin that was discontinued three years a go and will slot in just below the the Outlander in the Mitsubishi product portfolio.
All-Wheel-Drive will be available as standard and the only confirmed engines will be diesel which will include a new 1.8-liter engine producing 134bhp and 207lb ft of torque and they will be mated to Mitsubishi's twin-clutch SST auto box already debuted in the Evo X.
There are no confirmed names for the cX inspire vehicle, but we know the concept's label will be dropped for a name that is more in line with Mitsubishi's brand.
