Its nice trim job, 1/30 exclusivity will keep its value up if only by a small margin compared to a C6 base of the same year.

Americans are happy with the crappy plastic ;D But why is it LHD? ;o

because LHD imports are considered to be more "exclusive" and "cool", although japan, by standard, is RHD. even the LHD version of merc or porsche, for example, are more expensive than the RHD version in japan... ironic, isnt it?

how ironic isnt it? the japs are giving the americans the impreza and the evo in 2.5 L 295 bhp, the best spec. and the 2.0 l, 300 bhp or more, they're keeping it for themselves. and here are the americans giving the japs this nicely built, nicley designed corvette..even the name is nice, "Corvette S". the only thing i dont like about it is that cocky liscence plate with 480 HP, which im sure they got it from an engine at least the size of mount rushmore. anyhow...i think ill move to japan

You mistake it Northerner, we have 2.5L Subarus here because the EJ20s from Japan would/could not comply with emission standards in america. So rather than decrease power out-put, they increased the engine size/easier power.

the reason why the Americans are getting cars with lower bhp is because of the gas used in US... in US the best gas u get is UL 93 or 91..elsewhere..there are the racing fuels with UL 98 and above

we do have a two tone interior here in the states you can get a normal vette with two tone seats or go for the 4LT package and get it all two tone.

not only two-tone, but we also have the leather-wrapped dash, door trim, and center console as well.

Only the truly ignorant/uninformed see a Corvette as trash...my question is...which one are you?

Xan, it's a nice looking thing that handles pretty well for an American car, but the interior is made of recycled toilet seat plastic, the body is made out of recycled playground rubber, and the engine... well... is just too primitive and fuel guzzling.

So I'd have to say it's somewhere between trash and roadworthy.

LMS, the LS3 is less primitive than your opinion of American cars...

Why do we have to pay $6,000.00 for the two-tone interior here in the U.S. when it should be standard and not an option.Who wants the cheap standard interior anyway.I bet that this Corvette has an LS3 under the hood.

of course it has an LS3 under the hood it is a 2008 what else would it have?

My point about the car having an LS3 under the hood is that it has the same motor here in the U.S. and that people shouldn't complain about other countries having a much better Corvette than us when they are mechanically the same no matter where you buy them.

LMS, thats fair to say about the base interior on the US Corvette, cant disagree too much although i dont mind simplistic interiors. I was more refering to calling the whole car a peice of trash which is quite unfair given what even the base Corvette is capable of now. 430hp~/32000lbs. with competent suspension, brakes etc, very good car.

I can afford to buy any car I want and Corvette is going to be the next car I buy.Took one out for a test drive and fell in love. Before people talk trash about the Corvette they should take one out for a test drive first. You don't really no anything about a car untill you've driven it.
