The "Stig" gets about abit doesnt he ..... The car design looks good , its about time they took notice of what people want from a car.

You are probably right moko , all i was saying that its good to see them take an interest in different designs rather than the boring square box of a car these days.

bmw has been coming up with some crazy stuff lately, and i really would like to see something materialize finally
but it begs the question as to why they wont build a super car to compete with the likes of the r8, or ferraris and lambos, or with the slr or carrera gt, or any car like that. i understand that bmw goes for traditionalism, but they make such good engines that they really could go far with a potential r8 competitor, what with the m3 v8 or m5/6 v10 or even (although a stretch) supercharging the v12 from the 760 to compete with the lp640 once again i know its not bmw's style to do so but i would love to see it

To answer your supercar questions, it's because BMW's too cheap and focus on expanding their vehicle line downwards instead of upwards.

"the 200hp 1.6-liter turbo hydrogen engine produces zero CO2 emissions. With a Caterham reminiscent kerb weight of 450 kg, 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) would take 4 seconds."
How do they come up with these figures?
"Look, I drew a car. It has a 1.001L engine that produces 1000BHP and does 0-62 in 1.001 seconds"
Looks like the ramblings of a child.
Nevertheless, I'd let this thing mow my lawn because it already looks like a mower.

Looks like an audi r8.
And really, the peasants ought to be sick of tractors by now.

You must be new here.
It's like a rule thing that at least one person has to compare the new car, no matter what it is to an R8.
July 4, 2008 8:28 am
Of course it's exactly like an R8 ... they both have a round rubber bit at each corner ROFL

Running an internal combustion engine on hydrogen is as stupid as this concept is ugly and unimaginative. Why would we adopt a new fuel and reinvent our obsolete technologies around it? It is absolute nonsense. If we're going to overhaul the automotive industry, why not make a real difference? You're just not trying, otherwise.

Weve had bangle design and if this is signs of whats 2 come all i can say is Oh No!

Although the designer is a co national of mine, I have to say that his design seems a bit off the scales. Keeping in mind even the most "out-there" BMW prototypes or rendering are not even in the same "ball park" as this Z0.

You know, i think it would be MUCH better if the wheels were covered. Just a thought.

Not the most attractive design. Different but nothing beautiful. Can't help but notice the poor presentation layouts, especially for graduate students.
This is some of the best and worst times for designers because we don't know the future like we used to and in the next 15 years a lot is going to change with the industry. May look like lego but it has alternative fuel source as its power

When it rains you're screwed. When a truck or suv hits this thing you're dead. This car would be useless as a daily driver unless you have a death wish.Looks like it was designed by powerwheels for little children and not like something that BMW would be designing.

Have you seen the cars built in Romania they are so bad that the Chinese cars look like their the top of the line next to them.
