The entire production run of the Bugatti Veyron has been limited to just 300 units with 230 of those already spoken for, so when a new special edition is announced you can be sure you're about to get something quite unique. Bugatti initially created the Pur Sang (meaning ‘pure blood’ or ‘thoroughbred’ in French) edition and held a preview evening the day before its unveiling in which potential customers got a chance to see the vehicle. Despite the hefty $1,4000,000 price tag, all five models they planned to build were snapped up leaving quite a few disgruntled super-rich punters.
In response to this demand, Bugatti created a second special edition named the Sang Noir, but kept publicity of the model to a minimum by not releasing any details to the press. However WCF did still manage to dig up a few details: The name Sang Noir means Black Blood, the regular two-tone exterior paint normally accustomed with the model is replaced with an all-over black livery, it gets a unique set of alloy wheels, a slightly modified grille and a bright orange interior.
There will be a total of 15 units of the Sang Noir edition made available with Americans getting first dibs on these ahead of the Europeans
