Nice, this car is for all the people who can't afford the extra 'f'.

New Gol is bassed in PQ25, not PQ24 and the new generation is the fifth, not third.
About the engines, 1.0 have 76hp and 1.6 104hp. The top speed in 1.6 version is 120Mph, nothing bad...

The Gol's side and rear look way better I expected. They're actually great! Its grille doesn't convince me, though thank god VW dropped abusing chrome.
AG4: it won't be as cheap as it should, but that's the basic idea. bgaetani, WCF has written the correct platform. Only the Brazilians will get flexible-fuel technology, the rest of us will have to buy gasoline-only versions.
WCF, thanks for this article!

NaBUru38, no. PQ25 is different of PQ24, it´s the same plataform of new Seat Ibiza and the next (not the actualy) VW Polo. About flexible-fuel, it´s just time, when the countries start the sell of ethanol, start the sell of flexible-fuel cars.

First of all, this is not the 3rd generation, but the 4th (officially is the 5th). It's a great (the best) "popular" car in the world. It's so much beautiful than brazilian Golf or Polo.

Like the VW FOX -Bring it to the u.k in small supply and as a cut price alternative to the kia's ceed/hyundais i20 etc and it'll do wonders-i'd buy one as a no frills solid and cheap runaround- looks passat-ish from the front too.
