Jaguar seems to have a hit on their hands with the new Jaguar XK , but what about the enthusiast market? For them Jaguar has developed the XKR-S, the fastest-ever production car for the British brand.
The 420 bhp Jaguar XKR-S will be limited to just 200 units but Jaguar still thinks it is necessary to promote through a nice video ad. Away with the old-fashioned image of 'the leaper' and in with hoonage and a 0 – 62 mph sprint of just 4.9 seconds.

that is so cool!!
nice, shame it will not be allowed to be shown in the UK.
ps - Jaguar have done this to promote the brand, its called a halo product.
I really like the S5, next to the TT models they are my favorite Audi's. That being said, this jag looks so much nicer then the S5, especially when you compare interior.
It's just my personal opinion that the Jaguar isn't that pretty. The effect and the road presense it gives is similar to that of an Aston Martin but I don't think that it's nearly as beautiful as an Aston. I think that the S5 is Audi's most beautiful car ever although in comparison to the XK, the interior may seem a bit awkward.
Let's not compare apples to oranges: 5 years from now, high school and college kids will be driving around in used S5's, not XK's. There's a completely different appeal in the two cars. Not that one is superior to the other. That's a matter of taste. But just different appeal and price points. Both cars are quite beautifully sculpted, however the Jaguar has heritage riding on its back as well as exclusivity that the Audi just cannot mimic. If we were comparing the XK and the R8, then maybe we have an argument =)
nice video!... you can see its made by USA jaja but XKR-S the S its for stink? its the same engine than before...and since 10+ years! also If Im going to buy a coupe I dont want to see it also in gays golf club...a real one must be chased by cops jeje
Lets not be foolish guys. The XK is a great car. But compared to the S5, the XK losses. Its easy to say that you prefer the Jag to the Audi from pictures. But if you actually drove the two in comparison you'd know the truth... and thats that the Audi is superior. Interior wise, its not even a competition. Go sit in an S5 and then sit in a XK. Make sure you pay attention to the details and touch EVERYTHING. Every button, every switch, every dial. Feel the difference in the touch response between the Audi and the Ford-parts-bin XK. Its like night and day! Jaguar has it in them to create phenomenal products (the XF for instance). The XK just had too many Ford hands in it. I'm excited to see what the XJ will be like, but the XK is a has-been already. And in 5 years S5s will still be worth a small VW...
