i assume it's competing with cars like the Alfa GT and 1 Series Coupe and maybe on some level the TT, Z4, Brera etc. what really annoys me is WCF's wrong usage of TFSI, TSI etc. the 200 PS is a 2.0 TFSI engine as always! and same with the 125 PS 1.4TFSI in the A3. i know it's complicated, but it can be worked out!!

fusion01, the full press release on the following 8 pages, 100 photos and video are not viewable on the VW site without media accreditation. For the thousands of enthusiasts who are interested in this car, we provide one location where all can be seen and easily referenced later. If you have access and you're happier going to the press site - be my guest.

And more. It should be a huge dissapointment for them who remember or knew old Scirocco or Corrado and feel and love even today the design message of these two cars. I think VW did not anderstand what their loyal clientele is waiting for and I started to think that actually VW is not aware what the traditional Golf traditional buyers are about.

Well....mean?....The car is not smart and interseting so not many people likes him........But many people.......

Plus, with a max power output of 200hp, we can not compare it to Porsche or TT.

Especially this new blue tone is worth a place on my shopping list. This "rising blue metallic" resembles ravena blue metallic from VW Bora range in the past. A nice addition to the VW stable...

It look like Mitsubishi Lancer or Evo X.

what a bunch of clueless 5th world nerds.. this car kicks a.s.s., its proportions in real life are simply impressive.. they just need to make available those amazing 19" wheels displayed in nyc

don't sweat it , ck . take a good hard look at that quarter rear on shot and you will readily swear before the US federal grand jury that this car is actually a Jap economy car masquerading as an affordable sportscar . kind of like a second-generation Honda Civic Coupe , comprende ?

i rather see a bunch of ppl talking out of their as.ses and sweating blood in the process, most japanese cheap hatches bear the planned obsolescence mark on them, not this.. this just isnt another 3-door hatch, it's a 3-door coup?, and most ppl bashing it now will change their minds as they see the real thing with 19" wheels on

vw is to toyota, just as Merc is to BMW.
Planned obsolescence is pertinent to all car manufacturers. Different products will have different marketing strategies. Simply buying into the notion of prestige, heritage etc etc is simply the other side to the coin of "jap = cheap economy".
