Still looks kinda cheap inside, but Im sure materials are premium. If the cars didn't drive so amazingly I wouldn't understand why people spend SO much money on these cars. Of course Porsche is the most profitable automotive manufacturer, the prices for options that should be standard on a $100K car are outrageous! $1000 for painted rocker moldings? $400 for footwell lighting? $2000 for SatNav? $400 for auto dimming mirrors? WTF!

I don´t like this interior colors selection? black and silver are much more 911?s style! And by the way, what?s that next to the radio controls, on the wheel? Are those gear shifting pads? Probably not, but if so, what are those big things?

I like it too. I sat in it once (not drive) and the feeling is perfect. The clutch, the gears, the steering handles and the seats... all perfectly suited to help you enjoy driving. It's not a beautiful interior by any means but once you sit in one, it just feels 'right.' I do hope that Audi will be able to influence Porsche's interior design in the future.

The new steering wheel is kind of strange but I don't think this will affect the sales. Porsche still has all the other qualities that makes it a great sports car and that is what sells it. I have to agree with benz_man, their extras are very expensive but so are the other German manufacturer's extras.

Yeah, most German companies have expensive options. But then, those cars base prices aren't $80k. I mean come on, they charge extra for interior lighting? Not the fancy LED mood lighting, but actual "I cant see whats on the floor when I open my doors at night unless I fork over this extra cash" lighting.

No interior too. NAV display still almost on floor. Hopefully that from culinary taken color could be changed at least. Such a taste Porsche!

Actually, the aesthetic design of the PDK is very similar to Audi's design on their R tronic

well it's somehow the same as with the exterior design: it wasnt made to drop jaws to the floor, it simply is a pleasant and ergonomic driver cockpit, where basic commands feel awesome, inducing to concentrate and enjoy the ride to the extreme.. i recently sold my 997 carrera S to order the upcoming model.. there are more expensive and powerful cars out there, but none other can match that racing personality and classy yet discreet everyday driveability.. i wont criticize the interminable option list, sportier extras (lowered susp. + lsd, exhaust, tranny...) are great, yet its true most metal-looking parts are fake (painted fiber) while theyre real aluminium in a 21K euro A3.... either way 911 owns you

im sure they made it this color so it's easier to see things since it is just a preview... just a guess

nah this kind of hue has always been available, its warm but gets dirty easily + reflections on windshield.. idk, its classy and nice alternative to all black.. navy blue all overs cool too, but less masculine i guess

How about a little contrast in material color - carpet door panels, seat inserts, dash, transmission tunnel, shift lever, brake lever, windshield header trim, steering wheel or sunvisors, anything. Can you say monotonous.

You can cover the interior in any number of premium color and material choices. However, most of these choices are individual and priced individually. If you wanted to trim out your interior in all number of contrasting stitches, leather, wood and metal colors, it would set you back $10K easily.

Seriously, Porsche should start thinking about redesigning their interior. It's getting boring that every Porsche (Except the Cayenne) having nearly identical interior. Porsche makes sick cars, but at least make some sick interiors to go with them.
