It won’t be as radical as the gull-winged Mégane Coupé Concept shown at the Geneva motor show earlier this year, but the production version Renault Megane Coupe will still be a pretty exiting car and a worthy competitor to the up-coming Volkswagen Scirocco. Still heavily disguised in these pictures taken at the French firm’s headquarters, despite recently leaked images uncovered, the car looks aggressive with very short front and rear overhangs, a flat windshield and a sloping roof line. Certainly, the current Megane with the 230hp R26 version sets the precedence in terms of power, so hopefully, the real machine, when wraps come off at Paris in September will inherit this powerplant from the start.

well i wish the real car resembles the rendering, although after laguna coupe´s bluff i´m kind of sceptic.... but the rendering looks great, i must say.
Megane have never been "just another hatchback" No first, no second and hardly wil be the third.
3dr was ignored for your own sake. Meganes are never been just 3dr nor 3 door cars but 2,3,4 and 5-door cars.
The current one may not be the prettiest car in the world, but it is one of THE best Hot Hatch in the world. That chassis is just phenomenal! This one is rather gorgeous, hoping that the final thing will be like the rendering.
My wife is driving Megane I for six years now and it is strange to say about Renault but this one still work as a Masterpiece of Reliability so far.
The spy shot is the Twingo CC ! don't you see it's too small to be a Megane...
I agree with you, it's a type of Twingo. Maybe a CC or so. The short bonnet tell it. But it's definitly not a covered Megane-size. other then the render looks great. But maybe Renault should be brave like bevore and create some more outstanding cars. The latest Megane was great designed (but for sure not the topseller) :(
It is a Megane, but noticealby higher than previous gen. Shape looks great even under the disguise.
