Kahn Expands Collection of Novelty Number Plates

Kahn Expands Collection of Novelty Number Plates
Afzal Kahn poses with F1 and 4 HRH number plates

4 HRH destined for royalty?

Novelty license plates may just be the most direct and effective way to individualize a car, more so than any body kit, large chromed wheels or performance enhancement could ever achieve. Kahn Design is cornering the UK market for these plates and have already scooped up the coveted F1 license plate for an astounding GBP 440,625.

The latest addition to the collection is 4 HRH, 'for Her/His Royal Highness', and is reportedly to have cost Afzal Kahn ever more than the record breaking F1 plate. Afzal Kahn has refused to acknowledge or refute whether he paid more or less than the F1 plate.

Afzal Kahn said: “This number plate is special. I have never seen a number plate with the letters HRH. As far as I am concerned, the number plate is truly sensational and worthy for a member of the royal family. The 4 HRH number plate is for an individual who enjoys the finer things in life, as it is a unique number plate and will no doubt be snapped up by an exceptional individual.”

Kahn Design is readying their new Aston Martin DB9 conversions and is picking up as many 007 number plates as possible. How much Kahn will charge for these novelties has not yet been announced but prices range from a few hundred pounds to astronomical.

440K for a plate that says F1? I rather pay Ferrari 440K to let me rent their older F1 cars for the track.

may be he does give money to charity, who knows. but it is true that there is no sense of proportion and common sense to the use of the wealth that some people have been given. just because you are rich doesnt mean you act like a fool in throwing it away.......

i for one am not jealous. i think excessive wealth is completely acceptable but the flaunting of it in such a frivolous manner is rather strange. i would say most people would cite that its money not well spent. if you are going to get off on people being impressed at 4HRH slapped on your car then thats fine. i just think it says alot about the individual and how far they are prepared to go for the "ooooh look at my number plate!!!" moment. finally who knows, he may give thousands to charity so we cant judge him on that despite whats written.....

Anyone with an ounce of class in the UK finds personalised number plates one of the tackiest and chinziest things to do to a car. No royalty or aristocracy would ever dream of putting something so vulgar of one of their vehicles. The Americans have the right idea calling them vanity plates.

It is an environmental problem, very first from GreenPeace and other environmentalists should start. But number plates are great, if make them bigger, let say twice, these plates will suit well to that Lithuanian ExCaliber. e.g.
