Because the supercharged engine makes more tq, and the G-wagen is pretty heavy.

I usually hate off-roaders but I have a serious soft spot for this and the Defender. They are design classics and can never be withdrawn from production- they better engineer electric/hydrogen ones in the future but not change the design, cos the world would be a duller place without them.

why limit the top speed to 210kmh, i'm guessing this is due to weight/tyres?! on better tyres could this beast go faster?

if they let it go anyfaster, the box aerodynamics would lead to a very unstable ride and cause many deaths as they go flying off the road.

Such a great car! Maybe I'll own one someday. The G is very popular in Eastern Europe, because if you darken the windows looks like a true mafia car and some people really like that.
