"Whats so bad about the V10 engine, it has recieved the engine of the year award in the performance catagory I think."
A large car like the 7 would benefit from the torque of the V12 more than the sheer HP from the V10, which suits the lighter M5/6 cars. The V10 does not produce gobs of torque, although it is a simply brilliant motor.

The big beemer is back!! And how!! It seems that my craziest dream has just come true. An M7!!!!! WOW!!!!!
I'm really pleased that the car uses a V12 instead of that stupid V10 engine. Surprisingly, this car actually looks pretty!! I told you Bangle's designs would mature in a few years. This'll shut those f***ing critics up!!! Bangle's an absolute genius.
Great job BMW!!!!

I put $5 that says NO M7! BMW has said repeatedly that M cars must have manual transmissions (or at least SMG/DKG/whatever automated transmission) and high-revving, high-specific output engines. Who wants to drive a high-revving 7-Series? I think not.

I know GranTurismo. An M7 would be nice, but in the scheme of things, does it really make sense for BMW M? People say that AMG has stretched itself thin (and it has; R63 anyone?), and I'd hate to see the same done to M. Like Kafkef says below, a hi-po 7 is very nice. An M7? The name can be left off.

I dunno, I doubt it, but there just may be an M7. The turbo V-12 will probably be in the regular 760. Word is, the M series will get a little more bloated (AMG). BUT small, light weight, high efficiency, 100% performance focused tii models will be popping up to take the performance title. Like Mercedes' Black series just a little more mass-produced.

i agree with heat_fan1.
bmw's m-division is for pure performance cars and it should stay that way. sure, make the high-powered 7-series but leave the m-badge off it.

i agree with you kafkef, bmw is going on overboard with the M7, still im curious about it.

Sure, the V10 is powerful. But the V12 is more sonorous, like the one in the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano.

BMW aren't in the habit of shoe-horning massive engines into their small cars. That's not about to change. Think real hard about it.
