Billed as the biggest performance competition in the car tuning industry, the Tuner Grand Prix held at the Hockenheimring in Germany earlier this month saw TechArt taking top honors in the GT Class. However, honorable mentions go to the crew at MTM. With six Audi vehicles represented, the MTM-Audi A5 Clubsport Diesel (category Diesel), RS4 Clubsport (Limousine), S1 (Youngtimer), S5 GT Supercharged (Coupé/Cabrio), S3 Clubsport (Compact) and R8 Supercharged (GT Class), MTM took three 1st places and two 3rd places. Additionally, the R8 Supercharged emerged as the fastest R8 derivative as Florian Gruber impressively demonstrated. Times are as follows:
- MTM-Audi A5 TDI Clubsport - Florian Gruber - 300 PS - 1:14,812 - Diesel - 1st
- MTM-Audi RS4 Clubsport - Florian Gruber - 540 PS - 1:10,794 - sedan - 1st
- MTM-Audi S1 - Dieter Heubacher - 530 PS - 1:12,193 - Youngtimer - 1st
- MTM Audi S5 GT Supercharged - Rudolf Brandl - 500 PS - 1:14,910 - Coupé / Convertible - 3rd
- MTM Audi S3 Clubsport - Rudolf Brandl - 380 PS - 1:14,276 - compact - 3rd
- MTM Audi R8 Supercharged - Florian Gruber - 550 PS - 1:10,528 - GT - fastest R8

Beautiful...from what I can see MTM did nothing to the exterior but bigger rims....i guess there isnt much to improve on
I guess you have no sense of style . Especially seeing as the R8 was voted world design car of the year as well as world performance car of the year. The others look great too though, especially the S5 and S3 in my opinion.
Clearly, michelin901 is one of those old timers who blindly likes a merc or bmw (no matter who hideous they are). Audi makes the sexiest cars in the world. PERIOD.
I agree with you woo, at the moment I think that the S5 is probably my favourite, along with the R8 of course. The S5 looks really amazing in real life though. I really can't wait to see the A7 and S7 as well as the new A8. I think we should see the new S4 in a few months too. I wonder as well if the R8 V10 will get the chrome grille etc like Audi S models usually get. I'm very eager to see what it looks like cause I'm sure it will have differences compared to the V8 R8.
oh really? tell me who actually decides the winners. not us public neway. . for ur info im a trans design student.n yeah ur sline mite b good but they don stand a chance against the m's n d amg's. they never have. its a known fact tat bmw is the leader. am not just a stupid fan of them. i owned a audi a6 n i had nuttin but trouble with it. im happy with my 330i now. cheers.
More tuning should be done like this...incremental and small changes make good cars look even better. Ill vote no to boring (sorry it doesn't have any space thrusters on it for ya)
Florian Gruber ...is that guy a romanian? god damn his fast :) you go dude. wih i had and rs4 like that one..
