I dont see why not, 3 series and 6 series have convertibles, and u have your CLK and SL

actually the A5 is basicly the A4 coupe variant, so if they will make it a cabrio then I don't see any point of making A4 cabrio which would differ only in the front design. 6 series and SL are different car classes.

Hard tops are not better as some think. They take up significantly more room that a soft top and they are also much heavier which increases the overall weight of the car leading to increased fuel consumption and decreased performance. I'd rather a soft top to a hard top anyday.

and I think a soft top looks sleeker and more stylish. A hard top suit 2 seater roadsters like the SLK, but it doesn't look as good on a 4 seater cabrio like this or a 3 series. I think Audi is taking a risky (against all the competition), but a good move.

Hardtop is more marketing that anything else.
I'd rather have a softtop than a hardtop.
Quicker to fold and doesn't require deformed cars that look stupid with the roof up to fit.
Plus its lighter! Go audi!

I prefer hardtop, because it looks better. But if the color of the canvas is the same with the car, than it's still acceptable. black canvas on red car would be awful
