If all guesses for what the future reserves for us were concrete, we would have at least three times the number of car models around. The fact is some speculation models are so good looking they should have been built instead of the real ones. If this is the case for this model, the next generation of M6, expected to arrive in 2012, we’ll leave it up to you to decide, but most of you will probably like it as much as we did.
Created by the designer Giom, the rendering of the future M6 first appeared at BMW Blog. Developed under the name F12, the future M6 may get two versions, a regular one and the low weight CSL, with a carbon-fibre roof.
No word has been said about the engines, but we can expect for higher outputs and lower emission, an apparently contradictory goal that is fully achievable with the use of direct injection, turbo or supercharger and other systems that help enhance the performance of the car in all levels. Let’s wait and see.

hmm agressive yet smooth. Could very well be bmw's next design step. Especially if that m1 concept has anything to say.
GIOM, you are brilliant. Only if Chris Bangle was this intelligent. They need to bring back the large fenders for their future cars.
The profile is very sporty except for that Opel/Vauxhall front bumper look. I love the cars smooth slim yet muscular looks. Stealth like.
it looks too much like the e46 coupe (that what's was the base for this rendering i suppose), but hell, I like it, for sure it's better than the current 6er, besides, the e46 is a beautiful base for a new car, isn't it?
I like the rear, especially the light, but the front end design, like the lights vs the grille is not cohesive, the proportions are out by a bit.
Credit to Giom for an overall good looking car though ;)
Much more attractive than the current 6 series and quite reminiscent of the old 8 series ... it would be a certain winner.
its a good rendering, but it kinda looks just like a bigger M3. I actually like the current 6 better, besides the add-on boot.
i like the curretn 6 alot metter thn this, all of it the current is just a better looking car... say that i have a weird taste in design but it is just the way i am
Looks a bit better than the current one. But than again, they dont have to try very hard. This front looks like an M3 being bashed up with swollen eyes.
change the grille and tone down the slope of the hood a little and its gorgeous!
don't like the front end..the head light is ugly and the grill is super ugly, MERC IS MUCH BETTER THAN THIS THING...
yes you would think a whole car company such as 'merc' would be better than a single vehicle not even in production yet...
you can NOT be serious ... Merc haven't created an attractive vehicle in more than a decade ... Bangle wasn't great for BMW but Mercedes have totally lost their way with design
cmon mercs arent all tat bad. the new c n the cl aren bad lookn cars. the amgs have a certain presence newhere. im a bmw fan but i prefer the mercs neday over the borin audis.
How is this any different to the M3?? I see alot more grace in the M3 than this swollen "6 series" Audi S5 ANY time of the day
I really must thank the designer of this car for helping me at last remember a word I had long forgotten: "butt-ugly"...
The headlights definitely need some differentiation from M3 series. Otherwise it'll look like a DTM M3's roadgoing version. It's got some kinda 'class' of its own. I reckon that's what they should work on.
NO wait eva u do! dont tell BMW to work on a class of its own!! coz wen thy do look wat hapens BMW x6...
a good designer should have a good taste, look forward and set the rules and trends of the future. this looks like an ugly remake of 90ies beemer. if i want to have something from the past, i'd buy an american muscle car - but not this boring, gayish looking thing.
Ja-Jaa, do it, do that... and it will be faaaaaar better. Js's all its already done 20 years ago.
Overall looks better than current M6. But front bamper needs to be replaced not to imitate M3. And some improvements to rear lights would be appropriate.
they should call this the next 8-series because it looks a lot like the previous 8. especially in the rear. love it.
This is really nice and Bangle still bites. The kidneys need a little more work to my eyes. Otherwise it is about perfect.
It's overally brilliant! I really like the back but, OMG, the face is hideous! One of the most ugly and i-wanna-see-it-crashing-on-a-wall noses i've seen. That's a pity and i really think they'll ..."fix" it.
looks like the rear end is back to normal. dont like the front though. the wheels are superb
