The Stig would probably not be a current F1 driver; he simply would never have the time to shoot for TG. But any clever tabloid could track him down if they wanted to. They know where he works and if out walked a familiar former racing driver regularly he could be confirmed as the Stig. Anyone out there know a tabloid journalist?

The Stig is Ben Collins. If you want proof read the HSE report into Richard Hammond's accident - it confirms Ben as an adviser to the show.

i'd like the stig to remain as a secret too. i think he's much cooler as just a figure. otherwise you'll always get reminded about who it is when you see him and that would be lame.
