Ferrari's come in all shapes and sizes, some are debatable in regards to design but they are all exceptional works of engineering (and to some art). This year's Scuderia Ferrari Box competition has been kicked of at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari at Imola over the weekend.
The Scuderia Ferrari Box races is a gravity-powered 'soapbox' race for members of the Scuderia Ferrari Club of Italy and the carts are built by the members, without help or input from Ferrari engineers. The first race was won by Adriano Zocca in his XFX Ferrari box.
The next race will take place on Saturday 31 May 2008 in Milan during the Bianca dello Sport night. A starting ramp at Piazza Cadorna will give the contenders enough speed to finish the race.
