They need to build a car that can beat the Veyron- hows about a super-tuned Enzo... call it the Ferrari Caeser after all he beat France and Germany didnt he?

Veyron would only beat it in a straight line.

My guess.......paint protection. You always see alot of new Ferraris with that kind of protection driving out from the factory.

I'm guessing a drivetrain/suspension mule for the new flagship based on the millechile concept/idea.

Amen...Lets say the Veyron is somehow faster...Its just not the same as driving this kind of car. I dont usually like Ferraris too much...but this car is one of the no-bull-sh!t car. an 800hp 6.0L V12...its insanity, i love it.

What's with the comparison of ferrari vs veyron??? The two companies never really competed, it's like comparing a BMW M3 with the Enzo. Two completely different cars each great at what they wanted to achieve. Ferrari will NEVER go into the market that Bugatti has and vise versa. Anyways back to this article, it is almost like Ferrari wanted to build up hype for a new Enzo, because that's a stock FXX which everybody knows what it looks like so why hide it unless you want people to know that you are working on a crazy version of the enzo based on the FXX.

I agree with Rad...most people here are just spouting their own personal opinions with no rhyme or reason. There is no discounting the performance of The Bugatti Veyron or The Ferrari Enzo/Enzo replacement...they are both superb automobiles and rolling technological showcases. I can't help but tweak Mr. M7 though...where is BMWs ultimate driving machine in this league....

it's pretty simple if you think a bit. what is the FXX ? a very special Ferrari that is used to pioneer and test new technical solutions that will eventually end up on the future Ferraris for the road. bearing this in mind, that car is likely to be a "mule" for testing such solutions on the open road and not only on the private tracks of the prancing horse. as simple as that.

M1 is not in production....BMW has no car in this league....

Maybe I was joking?

First of all, the FXX is 3/4 of a ton lighter than the bugatti. It lacks in horsepower only by 200, however. As a result, the weight to power ratio for the Veyron is 4, while for the FXX it's a superior 3. But all that is a secondary matter. The FXX is a purpose built, purpose bred track car. A mule, perhaps, but one built only for performance. The Bugatti is little more than a quad-turbo powered 2 door bentley clone. Impressive, but more of a luxury car than true performance machine... Oh yeah, and as for the Porsche GT... Nice try. The lap times at the Nurburgring tell a different story.
