One of the users over at the M3 obsessed forum M3Post has bagged a few shots of the minor facelift set to be received by the M3 for the 2010 model year. The M3 continues to be a huge success for BMW and judging by these photos the facelift which is due for a debut possibly later this year for release in 2009 will sport redesigned rear lights similar to the 3-series facelift. and will be available in a new grey livery as shown in this prototype.
Check out the photos to the right and also head on over to M3post for a simple photoshop image of what the new rear lights design could look like.

nooo dont make the rear lights like the ones on the 3 series!!! they r ugly, i like the ones on the m3 wayy better they should give the 3 series the lights from the m3 if anything
this article is about the M3 sedan, which currently HAVE the 3-series sedan rear lights. Those spy pics indicate that they are just going to change them just like they are going to change them on the normal 3-series on the upcoming facelift. So this is rather a good move, because the current rear light design on the 3-series and the M3 sedan looks like from the '97 Daewoo Lanos
there is a facelift coming up for 3 series sedan and estate, which is necessary because mercedes and audi have released new competitors last year.
The lights on the current m3 sedan are the only ugly part of that car. I hate to say it, but minus those lights its the only sedan version of a car i think is hotter than a coupe.
I agree, altough I'm of the opinion that it looks could bear a wider stance.
the rear lights are the most importent change for the facelift...hopefully the lifghts are going to much better then those the 3series has now
