First launched by Renault in Brazil last year, the Sandero hatchback will be branded as the Dacia Sandero in France, home country of Renault. Order books will open next week (May 22) and the first Sanderos are scheduled to reach dealerships on June 27 2008, right on schedule according to last years planning. The Maghreb (North West Africa) will also see the introduction on the Sandero this year, while South Africa and possibly a few other markets may welcome the hatchback in 2009.
The Dacia Sandero will be available in four trims with a choice of two engines, a 1.4 liter MPI with 75 hp and a 1.6 liter MPI with 90 hp. Prices start at Euro 7,800 for the entry level Sandero and will cost no more than Euro 10,900 for the range-topping Prestige model.
