The Californian electric sports car sage began on April 16 when Tesla, producer of the all electric Tesla Roadster, sued Henrik Fisker, CEO of Fisker Automotive and Fisker Coachbuild, over supposedly stealing trade secrets and supplying Tesla with sub-standard design work for its four-door electric sedan.
Henrik Fisker replied about a week later and stated that “the lawsuit is nonsense.” Today word comes from that Fisker has filed for arbitration in the case at the San Mateo Superior Court in order to get the case moved to Orange County in California.
Tesla spokes person Darryl Siry only replied that "our suit is laid out pretty clear" while Henrik Fisker once again clearly stated that "for us, it's simply a ridiculous suit." The hearing is scheduled for June 11 but the way things are going now we fully expect a retort from Tesla before that time.
The Tesla Roadster has recently gone into production while the Fisker Karma has gone into testing with three prototypes and is on schedule for a 2009 launch. The interior of the Fisker Karma will be debuted at the November LA Auto Show.
