Nissan 370Z Image Leaked?

Nissan 370Z

Or yet another good photoshop

Late yesterday afternoon a new Nissan 370Z image surfaced, supposedly the image was taken with a mobile phone during a recent Nissan event in Japan judging by the Japanese text above the car. Interestingly enough a much higher quality, but much smaller image surfaced hours before.

When compared to the 370Z sculpture shown at the recent N360 event in Portugal we can start to see some similarities between the two cars, namely the wheel arches and the roof line. The new 370Z will be four inches shorter than the current 350Z, combined with a new roof line (seemingly a throw back to the Fairlady of old) and the usage of the new type headlamps which first debuted on the new Nissan Maxima. The new overseas Fairlady Z will pack around 330 hp from the new 3.7 liter VQ engine and is scheduled to make its world debut at this years LA Auto Show.

Whatever this may be, mobile phone picture or clever photoshop, we are a bit skeptical about the origins of the image since nobody has officially claimed it. All we can do now is compare and stare at the screen until it all makes sense. Rest assured that whenever official information comes through you'll find it here.

[UPDATE] Seems that the camera phone belonged to a Corism journalist who attended the Nissan GT 2012 event. Thanks for the info Pierre-Laurent.

This looks strangely credible, although I could well believe that i is in fact a styling proposal for tthe 350Z that got rejected, rather then the next version. It just seems a backward step.

the headlight is butt ugly...don't know about the roof line...for me the current Z has a killer look...330 hp? well, i hope they will make it lighter than 350z

Its got an old school look, much like the BMW Z coupe. the headlights are the only thing really ruining its aesthetics.

It's Photoshop and real, the negative looking picture is/can be believably real. However the other one is photoshoped. The front fender gives it away but also notice there is zero highlight were there is a lip on the bottom half of the side panel. Also those are previous generation mirrors (or hardly modified ones)

Oh those lights tho...could be true, hope not, just take a look at the maxima and see what they did to that

Sorry to tell you guys, to drive a Nissan is much more than driving another sporty car... it s standing out from the crowd, and it may look weird but colors shapes and sounds have a way of affecting the brain no matter wats ur test.

The Z will stand out from other coupes that immitate it, and still be recognize for the unbelievable machine it is.

the look of 350z is fine, why change? more power and less weight will cut it.
