Buy a BMW M5 or corvette and have a faster, safer car that at least is not just straight line performance. Why don't they add another 5 grand and place rear independent suspension for better handling

This car is looking wonderful, it has a powerful engine (maybe a bit oldschool, but that's interesting too) But you are right. it's preety far away from being perfect. And it whouldn't be a complicate to upgrade it to much better :(

I love the KR, its the nicest Mustang out there(from factory), i would love to own one....but NOT at this price. The price is just rediculous. You can buy this body of Mustang on Ebay for 20K, invest another 30-40K on engine, suspension, brakes, make your Mustang MUCH faster than this and maybe even buy the KR hood and bumper sets to make it look just as mean. While saving yourself ALOT of money....i know the KR is a very rare car damn gorgeous too, but its just too expensive.

Well, this just goes to justify all those sayings about "a fool and his money...". Absolutely, positively a colossal waste of money. Completely over rated, and a fairly pathetic car at that. Sure, it's got retro styling, but it doesn't come even remotely close to doing the original car justice. I'll give them credit for clever marketing though. Make a copy of a legendary car, stick a big engine in it and some badging that everyone recognizes and you've got a hit. Why, oh why are people so stupid?!? Its like coveting a replica instead of the real thing, and a poor replica at that. If you want to blow 80K (let alone 150k) then buy an ORIGINAL Mustang, do it up, and then you have yourself a car that'll be better this dumb car ANY DAY. I mean, come on, if a new Mustang and an original 69 or 69 Mustang pull to a set of lights...WHO do you think is looking at WHO'S car?

Im sorry i agree with BMWer...this has a limited collection value just like the 300 other "limited" mustangs that have been made...for this money im going on ebay and buying a 69 Mach 1, maybe even the jet cobra fully restored. It's a lot more fun. Better built and its a classic enough said...does anybody wonder and want to see how plastic parts hold up 25 years from now on this "collectors" model? I guarantee they won't be like classics of old. Oh..ill by an R8 for that price thank you very much

i'm with you foose1397 i'll take an R8 any day over this, with that kind of cash you can get a used ferrari 360 or even the ford gt is better than this. this is truly a waste of money in my opinion.

I was honestly expecting it to be more in the arena of $50k. For the money, I'd take a Saleen 281E and a nice vacation.

and just how many variants can they build of the same car? it kind of takes away the limited edition thing if thers another million 'limited editions' around.

Its not that this car is slow, its a pretty fast car...but it suffers from 2 problems....it weighs 1800lbs~ so its kind of a pig and it doesnt even have a big-block(427) and 2)the price...i love the KR but even if i was rich or won the lottery...why would i buy this when i can just buy a used new body Mustang for 20K and make it WAAYYYY faster than this for far less than this cars price. And as much as i love all Mustangs, they really need to drop the Solid-Rear Axle...it really kills their handling.

Jesus Christ, are people crrazy? and you know what the sad part is: some dumb smuck will happily pay the 80k plus the dealer premium!!!! HA what is this world coming to? don't be such proud americans and buy an R8 or if you want american muscle buy a corvette ZR1 for that matter, i mean after all it's just a lowly mustang

Well, the important thing about the Mustang is that its one of the few cars that has been in constant production for 30+ years(the Mustang is about 44 years old now) so it is an american icon and even from a performance stand-point its a good car, aside from the solid-rear axle. So its a very good car, but i have no clue what these people are thinking charging this much, i kno its a limited production model but that doesnt mean you can price it this high.
