Am I to assume that Vauxhall will also benefit from this investment as they'll get to market the same cars? Would make sense.

Vauxhall and Holden should get the lion's share of this so they can change back to Opel and Cheverolet respectively. It should be costing GM quite a bundle to have them market themselves so separately from everyone else. While we are at it, let's get a clear identity for SAAB as well now that Cadillac is entering Europe and Africa in a big way.

Vauxhall and Holden can't "change back" to Opel and Chevrolet because they never were Opel and Chevrolet in the first place. Vauxhall is a well known and respected brand in the UK, despite having an identical range to Opel. Kill off Vauxhall and you can say goodbye to the UK market. Holden meanwhile is the Australian branch that has a unique range of cars including the Australian built Commodore and HSV range. It sells cars under the Chevy badge in some markets, but it is not Chevy, never was Chevy and never will be Chevy!

17 passenger cars? Let's count the current ones: Agila, Corsa, Astra, Insignia; Antara; Tigra TwinTop, Astra TwinTop, GT; Meriva, Zafira. That's ten. Let's add a sub-Agila four-seater economy car, a B and a C-segment SUV, a large MPV, a Vectra Coupé and a Twintop. That's 16... Im missing some possible new models.

It took GM a long, long, long time to realize that they can use Opel Designs to make American cars. Hopefully this investment will spill over to make more better looking cars like new Saturn.
