Wow, that looks unbelievably nice...I'm speechless! Ford makes great cars in Europe...ditto about bringing them to North America. Those would sell like crazy. There's simply no understanding what is wrong with Ford of NA. Why can't US brass get it in their tiny little heads that their European designs are so much better than the ones we get?!?!? I mean come on, what the hell is the piece of crap Focus we get over here? Does Ford want to stop losing money in North America? Sh*t for brains, pardon the language.

I thought NA got the same Focus as we used to get before the most recent one came along...?

Maybe there is a thing with the Ford Labor union that forbids them to import certain cars from Europe for the sake of keeping US manufacturing plants and auto supplier's jobs. I am sure that Ford execs and product planning people are not that stupid to not even consider bringin the European versions over...if they are...then they deserve to go out of business...and very soon!

Well, yes that, and one must kind in my that our failing dollar is aslo keeping this wonderful idea from becoming a reality. Think of it, everything in Europe is priced proportionally to what Europeans make. If there lowest priced Ka in Great Britain is 7,350 puonds, then that means at least $14,000. Heck, the Smart cars start at what $12,000? And the fully loaded Ka gets up to 10,250 pounds; at least $20,000 for a slightly souped-up little microcar from Ford! any one in North America would laugh at that and walk away. The only people who would by those here would be rich parents for their 16 y.o., rich kids. That's why they can't bring Euro Fords here-- especially the entry sized cars because those are european, meant-to-competete-with-germans-directly, expenseive, high quality (to us) cars.

GM and Ford both have better small cars that they sell in other parts of the world than they offer in North America. For a long time gas was relatively cheap in the US and customers preferred larger cars. The current gas prices are driving a change in American market and hopefully they will bring these cars to the US...the prob is that the profit margin is much lower than what they make on large vehicles like SUVs.
