I think a superhybrid would be awesome- 4 wheel drive supercar with 300bhp electric motor driving the front wheels and a similar power petrol motor- ie. an Evo/Impreza engine in the back... would it be possible?

the only problem with this car is the amount of money it costs.

Great...except the fact that it will never sound like a sportscar. And a sportscar with no symphony under the hood is like a beautiful women wearing a spacesuit...

The "electric premium segment" cars really aren't capturing my imagination. I agree with Pole_McCoy; electric sports cars will never have the appeal of their petrol-powered competitors. Sports cars are about being loud and bothersome; if these cars are inherently limited (read: silent) imitations of sports cars, why bother? Tesla, Fisker, and Venturi are being stupidly conservative in their attempts to pioneer a new (albeit old) breed of automobile. I am a big fan of electric-powered cars, but even I am not naive enough to believe they'll be able to compete in petrol-dominated markets! That's foolishness. How about some innovation?
