My question, why does an suv need so much hp? The only reason I can see is to increase its towing capacity. To bad every model of the Cayenne has the same towing capacity. If you want a fast car, get a sports car. If you want a fast family car, get a sports sedan.

Now Mercedes-Benz would really have to put Kompressor (supercharger) on their ML63 AMG to regain the top SUV title... V8 Kompressor (6.2L), it could be very interesting sound...

Oh no, that would be unnecessery.. They should simply udgrade the M63 AMG to M65 AMG.. The 6.0l biturbo V12 should be just fine.

I dont know when will this war end?? Cayenne standard, s, turbo, GTS, turbo S... Then may be turbined-turbo, turbined turbo S, 4S turbo!!!! How much engines are they making and how much are they gonna sell to do that.. Thats really boring.. One day you buy a car thinking that its top of range, the other day u realise that you have to step down for another model.. Seriously boring strategy..

The car has 750 NM of torque.. Isnt that enough for towing?!?!?! This car could operate a powerplant with its power.. What more do u want???

see, thats the problem, the base Cayenne has 370Nm of torque and it is spec'd to toe just as much as the 750Nm version... So sure the more powerful version can man handle the load compared to the less powerful version, but without any frame/suspension work between the two it doesn't make the 750Nm version any more capable.

Why do Cayenne interiors look SO cheaply constructed, but the Touareg and Q7 interiors are class leaders? You'd think Porsche would have corrected this issue in the update, but they haven't.

um More than cheap it looks outdated, especially the dashboard + center console with those ugly oval diffusors. At least a bi-tone setting freshes it up a bit.

the problem with a claim either way, is the fact that nobody is going to want to test that theory out with a $100,000 suv. That being said, most people who want to go off road buy a beater truck upgrade everything, and end off with a off road master piece for half the price.

Even with high performance tires the Cayenne is more capable off-road than many "traditional" SUVs. With better tires, its almost unstoppable.

absolutely pointless don't you think? The 500hp produced by the Turbo are more than enough for any car!! and this is an SUV!! If I had enough money I'd prefer to buy the Cayenne S with enough cash left to buy a smaller car than that...:P

Oh they can`t upgrade it just to 65 AMG, because V12 wouldn`t fit in for the 4WD system, and other thing is that`t 65 AMG engine is their minds like the last weapon for special moments, if others would go crazy with some very powerful engines, they would throw in a 65 AMG, but for now the V8 with Biturbo system or Supercharger would be just enough, but if Porsche releases Cayenne GT with V10 from Carrera GT and if Ferrari bring their Fuoristada with Enzo`s V12 then Mercedes-Benz would push the 65 AMG in!!!
For now the only strong competitors are only ML63 AMG and this new Cayenne Turbo S...

and idk about you, but i think they've finally cracked the looks of it now - vulgar as hell, yeah, but nowhere near as vulgar as say the carrera gt or any ferrari

the ML63 sucks..wait for the x6 twin turbo v8 ! it doesnt depened only on the horse power !! bmw gonna do a sport edition of the x6 too

oh if you say then it must be true.. so ML63 sucks. BMW are very ugly cars and i think this Porsche is a terrible looking thing aswell.
