Q7 is made in Slovakia. Q5 will be made in China. Don't like this trend with Audi...

From technical optimization point of view, I believe this is one of the best light weight SUVs in the world. What I admire is that this is not merely an expensive brother of Tiguan but is clearly a throughbred of Audi family derived from A4/A5 platform. This is a happy surprise as I thought Q5 would be prettier Tiguan, before it has been unveiled in Beijin.

the prettier tiguan will be the Q3, already previewed last year in shanghai as a concept car called cross-coupe.

ck314, we had a discussion over the A4 being boring or not. i??ve finally seen one on the metal, and i think we are tie here. it is truly beautifully proportioned, just a pity it so painfully lacks character. jaguar or alfa romeo would not be jaguar or alfa romeo without both concepts. just wanted you to know i agree with you now on your statement.

thankfully this q5 is based on the a4/a5 platform which allows for a graceful silhouette (somehow like a miniature fx50) which compensates its otherwise d??j??-vu stance

FACT ERROR: The Q5 will be built in China correct, however it will also be built in Audi's HQ in Ingolstadt. The Chinese Q5 will be available only for the local market. The German Q5 will be available for the rest of the world, although it depends on the geographical area where the Chinese built Q5 may be imported instead of its German counterpart.

Audi can do better,but its not too bad,imagine it in black color.i belive it has a better proportion and style than GLK.

I have to say that I agree with H34DL1N3R and AG4; any one of us could have designed this. But the Hongqi - wow, that's what I call innovative. Yet I could not ignore the taillights modelled on the TVR Sagaris - a true model of inspiration, something this car direly lacks. If this car was Chinese then it would have been severely ripped; the redeeming feature of this car is the Audi badge on the bonnet.
