Last year Ford UK showed the Connect Sport Concept and just a year later Ford releases a limited edition SportVan. Ford will build 300 Connect SportVans and will go on sale this summer. The Transit Connect SportVan follows last years Ford Transit SportVan, which was limited to 500 units and very popular.
The Performance Blue with white stripes Connect SportVan will be powered by the 1.8 liter Duratorg TDCi engine with 110 ps and 250 Nm of torque. "Transit Connect SportVan is all about style. Our customers want to stand out from the crowd in a vehicle that keeps their business moving," said Steve Kimber, commercial vehicles director, Ford of Britain.
Besides the performance divisions color combo, the SportVan comes with full body colored bumpers and roof spoiler, chrome grille and side skirts, front and rear sports skid plates and silver door mirror housings. The SportVan sits on 18-inch 7-spoke alloy wheels.
Ford also paid attention to the interior with leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, high-end audio system, park distance control, and silver surround of the center console.
