At the Birmingham based Commercial Vehicle Show in the United Kingdom Ford has launched a new version of its popular Ford Ranger WildTrak. The new limited Ranger WildTrak will be painted in Performance Blue with 'Le Mans' style white bonnet and roof stripes.
The Performance Blue color has become synonimous with Ford's performance vehicles like the Focus RS, Focus ST and Fiesta ST. But the color scheme on the Ranger will not be accompanied by a power boost, the Ford Ranger WildTrak uses its standard 3.0 liter Duratorq TDCi engine with 156 hp. Ford holds a 20% market share of the UK pick-up segment and sold 7,600 Ranger's last year.
“We are always looking to cater for the pick-up driver who takes style seriously. Performance Blue has become a popular choice on Ford's passenger cars and it looks great combined with the GT-style stripes on the new Ranger." said Steve Kimber, director of commercial vehicles, Ford of Britain.
