Caught here powering round the world famous Nurburgring in Germany, we have the latest shots of the next generation Mercedes E-class destined to be launch towards the end of next year as a 2010 model with a likely debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.
With these latest shots we get a closer look at the E class styling with wheel-arch extensions, rising character line below the door handles and big bumpers looking very similar to the S-class. The front fascia features a more sculpted wide-frame grille and geometric air intakes.
The new E-class will drop the current Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC) and will be replaced by conventional brake system with additional technology features including wet-weather disc wiping and wheel-selective cornering brake control, we should see optional ceramic-composite brakes on the AMG models.
A great deal of attention has been focused on safety with the introduction of new technologies such as lane-departure warnings, eye-movement monitor, traffic sign identification, road condition sensors and stability control for crosswinds, camber changes and tire wear.
