The stunning Aston Martin DBS was well received with much salivation in August of last year. Then, first spy photos of a convertible (Volante) version appeared during cold weather testing in Scandinavia this past January. These latest spy photos now put the same prototype undergoing handling-tests on Germany's world famous Nürburgring.

Besides the steel roof and the rear quarter glass being replaced by a folding canvas top, not much else is changing including the 0-100 km/h time which arrives in just over 4 seconds despite the extra weight from additional reinforcement to the body structure. The same 6.0 liter V12 producing 517 bhp and 570 Nm of torque remains in tact as well.

The Aston Martin DBS Volante is expected to be priced at just below 300,000 Euros.

Beautifully expensive. Great car, but i'd rather but the Vantage roadster & keep the change.

simply gorgeous, enough said. forget the change, this car is worth every penny. In US we still getting it cheaper, than everywhere else.

They better reinforce it for real, standard DB9 Volante squeaks like a bitch. Other than that, with burgundy top looks gorgeous, but still bearing old side mirrors from Jag??

this is lovely. for me, it's the first aston which i like with a soft top. im not so fond of sof tops, especially astons, but this one's great. but i will still go for the coupe.

Soft tops are way more stylish n glamourous than hardtops. And the more I see these pics, the more I realize Burgundy metallic is actually the color that best suits this car, at least in my humble opinion. The big irony is that it's not even available (unless personal commission maybe and paying like three times the price...) Come on, this hue is available in nearly every single premium brand!

This really is the best color combination Ive seen. The bordeaux is breathtaking on any luxury car.

Astons seem to spoil there cars when they put a soft top on the but the DBS looks quiet good.
