Another Lotus Se7en
Great Britain roads were graced with the first Lotus Se7en in 1957, seen by many as a road-going race car in its purest form, a 7 is light-weight, nimble and powerful. Caterham and Westfield, among others, mainly work from a budget point of view mainly while companies like Donkervoort serve the high-end market.
Sondergard from Denmark aims to compete in the high-end market too, and has a concept version of its Sondergard at the Biler I Bella Show in Copenhagen. The Sondergard is for now still just a design study and has no chassis or powertrain, but Sondergard Automotive hopes to have the car in production by 2009.
Rasmus sent in some photos of the Sondergard concept and supplied us with some initial information. The Sondergard will be powered by the Opel GT 2.0 liter, 265 hp engine while the car should weigh no more than 700 kg. This results in almost 380 hp per tonne and a sprint time from stand still to 100 km/h of just 5 seconds. Expected selling price is about Euro 40,000.
