'Ferrari has one of the best cars'

Formula One double world champion Fernando Alonso has ruled himself in with a chance at team Ferrari with suggestions that Felipe Massa is making too many mistakes on the track, and is thus at risk of losing his contract with the F1 champions. Rumours have been flying about of Alonso having a pre-contract with Ferrari for 2010, possibly even earlier.

Speaking after Sunday’s race in Malaysia, Alonso said to newspaper Diario AS: "It is too early to talk about team transfers, but Massa has had two bad races with errors and it is logical that people are talking about Vettel and me."

Alonso was referring to Massa’s spin in Australia as well as his inexplicable rear-to-front that cost him a podium this past Sunday. It is possible that the young Brazilian is struggling to handle a 700+ bhp car with no traction control. Should this be the case then his European races could spell slippery trouble when the rainy season begins.

Alonso did admit though, that being the best car was a major focus for his racing. "I always want to be in the best car in the field. I am driving for Renault now because I won here in 2005 and 2006 and want to do it again, if not this year, then the next. It is clear that Ferrari has one of the best cars already".

Haha, Alonso can't stand the fact that he's on the losing team and wants to jump out of the sinking ship like a rat. But yeah, Massa needs to learn to drive if he wants to stay on Ferrari.

About the strenght of ferrari, your view is rubbish. I don't know if you are interested in details but for th last 10 years ferrari did everything they could in order to prevent someone else to have a more advanced innovation. This is exactly what happened with Mercedes' engines in the late 90s and with Renault's mass damper in 2006. FIA has proved to work very often in ferrari's favour. About Alonso - an excellent driver with bad personality...

In order for him to even think about a Ferrari move, he needs to improve his english. I mean, his pronunciation and everything related to his english....sucks!!. So, you improve your second language and at the same time, start learning italian, comprende? Otherwise, they would have to bring the Doctor!

ferrari doesn't need Alonso. They have their own superstar in the form of Raikkonen. Bringing Alonso on the boat will cause it to sink. So, Ferrari please ignore Alonso and replace Massa, if necessary, with some new talent...

It seems the ego of champion F1 drivers is too big to have two on the same team. Alonso was already in a great situation with hamilton and his ego got the better of him, otherwise, he would have been racing in one of the best cars on the grid already.

so Alonso is (subtext) bored of Renault already, and he's got a whole year left- he's in danger of pissing off another team and working in a bad atmosphere again- he should remember he needs team support to win.

Don't try to put in his mouth what he is not saying. In the last sentence he clearly says "I am driving for Renault now because I won here in 2005 and 2006 and want to do it again. It is clear that Ferrari has one of the best cars already"
