Its probably based on the Subaru Impreza's AWD platform. It looks good even with the Audi-esque front grille. I think there is a small market niche for this car (a luxurious Impreza), but I'm sure the final production version will be heavily restrained to save production cost and make the car competitive in price vis-a-vis its peers.

audi would like to have the skills to design such a beauty. audis are real boredom, and visually bad aging cars, once your eye gets used to their flashing designs, they only look like wardrobes on wheels. take old A6 as an example. and god save wannabes if they produce wonders like this.... greetings from spain.

Check out the other article/forum..."Audi R8 wins performance car of the year, and design of the year". I think that speaks for itself. Audis have changed image dramatically over the years, and you got to remember Audi is not about boldness, its the subtleness that makes it beautiful, it certainly is not a "hey look at me" car. S5 is simply gorgeous.

Racsozelev...you have just been added to the hate list....amongst others like wisp

this racsozolev bull killer is partly right regarding the way audi design used to be trendy for a cpl years and then somber into boredom, but this was when lack of sharp angles and muscular hints plus disgraceful huge fron overhangs made them look worn out too early.. now, thanks to da silvas latin passion and engine compartment re-distribution, things have changed (let alone the minoritarian centered engine r8).. he also seems to overlook the fact that this is a static concept, and that an eventual production derivative of this car (especially coming from a poor manufacturer such as suzuki) would be *way* less "impressive"

yes ck314, you are right, audi has lately improved its main design features, i cannot deny that the new A5 side is beautiful (but has just been released), but front end keeps on boring, and the back end is a more subtle, softy BMW, which is not a great thing itself, better copy alfas or latest lexus models. it is also true that future suzuki will not be as stunning as this concept, but audi has not been able to raise such comments on any of its concepts or market models, maybe the R8, probably the only real good design by audi right now. what about the new A4, ck314? does it take your breath away? makes me snore. ps. i loved the bull killer nick name, i will adopt it to honour you......

as someone pointed out before, good taste is about subtleness and details.. have you taken the time to look at the new a4 sideways? yeah, it now looks like a rear wheel drive car (ie bmw, mb..) which means sleeker design thanks to greater axis to dash ratio/centered front engine, just compare with the current a6, youll see what i mean

i??m so sorry woo factor, i really though we could make good friends.... sorry about my comments on audi, i??m a spanish full of passion.......just what audi lacks (with the R8 exception, i admit).

ck314, sharp eye, very good point, the axis-dash ratio compared to an A6, but i still cannot see where the A4 beats an alfa 159, lexus IS, bmw 3 series, going lower in the market, the new citroen C5. neither in proportion nor in shaping of bodywork or detail, in spite of those very good hints you gave me. to sum up, audi spoilt in the A4 the best they made in the A5, the sides. it may be nicely proportioned in a classic rear wheel drive way, but i would not say it cuts the edge as for design, specially compared with the examples i gave you.

Well obviously there's something you aren't seeing that the critics can
