Set for public debut at the New York Auto show in two days, press photos of the yet to be revealed Hyundai Genesis Coupe have leaked. Sent to us as a tip (thanks Evan), the photos were found over at MyRide.com who added these pictures to an old article from the Genesis Coupe Concept debut in Los Angeles last year.

If the new Genesis sedan is an indicator of things to come, the Genesis Coupe, as the Tiburon replacement, will be a far superior car with greater quality, performance and driving dynamics. With a rear wheel drive platform and the entry level engine as a 2.0 liter turbo producing 215hp, the Genesis Coupe is off to a great start. But Hyundai is out for blood and takes it a bit further with a 3.8 liter V6 making approximately 300hp. As a result, the Genesis Coupe is going to get a lot of attention in New York and it's no surprise why.

Stay tuned for official info as it breaks.

i dont remember the front being like that in the concept... They had something going here, but have managed to bland it out with budget cuts. Can somebody please tell hyundai that SILVER IS DEAD!!!

yea ur right, the concept had longer headlamps and a longer "nose" so it had a more scowl-ly aggressive look. it also had a crazy hood scoop which this doesnt have. oh and that orange and black paint was really sharp. thats y the concept was so much more agressive.

I love it, but I gotta say I detect some LF-ness in the nose... not a bad thing, just what I see

nice job, but werent it rwd itd be less of a deal.. rear end somewhat bagle'ish & front somewhat lexus'ish, but has more personality than the sedan for sure.. and like it or not, silver is the color that better renders shapes on 2D pics

i don't get one simple fact, why Chrysler, Ford, GM of America can't build one just like that from the first try? Why do american car makers are chasing overexpression in their designs, that ultimately becomes associated with sub par build quality and service? I think that simple and subtle design like this one will do much better with the public once they will hit the roads. Also, koreans are going up in my books with their striking interiors and i think that especially chrysler should learn thing or two on how to build them like that. anyways good job.

The tail lamps are definitely derived from the Infiniti G37. Overall, definitely looks more polished than any other of their designs, but (in my opinion) I think they would do best to have their designers develop their own design language.

I think it looks really smart, and deny that silver is dead! there are still massive sales of silver cars... and I really dislike the trend for white- on a Gallardo okay, but on an Opel Corsa no.

The front looks like the Lexus IS, cool little car. I would buy it if they throw in the 4.6 V8 from the genesis in.

That bump under the rear window is very irritating. I think it ruins the looks of what would otherwise be a very nice looking car.

Awww... Its as if the Lexus Is and Infiniti G37 had a baby, how cute, lol but no it looks good, i could respect this car more than the sedan, it dsnt look like a copy of so many cars.

Just saw pics from the interior and, sadly, it isn't up to the exterior suggestive design. That poorly executed narrow center console (especially in a RWD car!) could put an elephant to sleep. However, let's not forget it took more than 50 years for the Japanese to come up with stylish interiors.
