this thing cannot handle lol... watch fifth gear where they test this thing out.. over steers and slides around everywhere... the smokes good though :P

If someone cared about buying a car that could handle around a track, they would buy a track car. This thing is built for cities. Stop light racing. With your family in the back.

The reason this car does not handle well is because it is an american POS the american manufactures can't engineer a car if there lives depended on it. It might make 402 hp but definatly gets under 10 mpg city; defiantly not a city car. Dont race this car with your family in it unless you do not value their lives. Death trap!

Altho i also think that american cars are a big POS, joe_limon is right.It doesn't really matter If the car can go around corners in a track since nobody lives in a track.What does matter its the way the car feel, and I know that this car feels like every other american POS car but Its cheap as hell and also fast as hell. So thats why I would buy It.Its fast and rediculously cheap.

American POS? mate, seriously. one thing i really dislike on this site is innacurate remarks like that! this car is Australian built AND engineered, and has a 4Star NCAP rating. Holden and Ford have continually had battles over who has the most HP, so holden upped the HP and kept same safety features with the addition of curtain airbags. The whole strategy for ford was to focus on safety, so they gunning for 5Star, plus the eventually did get more HP. but this car may be part of GM, its not american! the only thing american bout it is its additional design cues one by pontiac! This is just as SS-V Commodore with a HSV-Clubsport R8 engine!

American POS? seriosuly mate, that is one thing i hate on this site, and that one thing is the innacuracy of comments. this car is not american built or engineered, it is Australian built AND engineered. its a Holden Commodore SS-V with a HSV Clubsport R8 engine! i aint gonna lie like every else does n say i own a ferrari or AMG or something, but my parents actually have an R8 (not me, i got an 84' ford meteor, haha) and its same engine n everything! and it IS safe. currently has best safety rating on any australian built car, with a 4.5 NCAP rating! the HP wars are so intense in Australia, that most manufacturers forget about safety. but ford this time havnt, and gunned for 5star. and still managaed to out do Holden in HP. im a ford man (only the australian / european ones) so im not happy with the 'rents getting a HSV haha. REGARDLESS! Bernado you are wrong. and another thing, this car may be cheap, but could you afford one? outright? coz if u can, then i'd understand why u said that.

fifth gear must learn to drive first. this is how a muscle car shuld look always, but Ive never seen an american car made for circuits like N??rburgring, sorry.

It really is offensive for you to characterize the entire American automobile industry as inept. I know for too long the American Car companies were asleep at the wheel but that time if not over is almost gone. American Automobile companies are producing some of the best cars available today...such as the Corvette, Viper,Cadillac CTS, Cadillac V series to name a few. By the way as you obviously do not know - the platform the G8 was built on came courtesy of GM's Holden division which is Australian...I guess that about sums it up. You should know what you are talking about rather than just spout off nonsense...

finally, this car is a step in the right direction for Pontiac. it looks good and it goes fast. lets see it in AWD. it'll blow away the 335's and it'll be $20,000 cheaper.
