And surely delight idiots, only swearing by diesel... Bad luck, they are the most numerous.

I was just following him in his blinded reasoning. The point is that Porsche are not made to use diesel engines.

Diesel isn't good or bad, its just different. The "idiots" you speak of don't swear only by diesel, each engine type has its own advantage. If you only cared about high reving low torque engines you would say all piston powered gas engines suck and that the only true engine is the rotary engine. Each engine type has its own benefits/drawbacks, the diesel gives you torque and makes you look more eco friendly. Lelu you sir are the close minded one.

"the diesel gives you torque and makes you look more eco friendly." HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!You have absolutely no idea what youre talking about, more eco friendly?Make some research about diesel.

This discussion is pointless, since they will never fit a diesel powered engine in the supersport 911/Cayman range. If they allow this to happen, it's only because the Cayenne is somehow like the 914 back in the days: half a VW.

Why are new compact diesel cars getting better mileage then the prius if they weren't more eco friendly then their gasoline counter parts? Back to porche not made to use diesel engines, is this a statement saying that porsche has traditionally been super conservative in its designs that a diesel engine would be far to out of the realm of thinking for porsche engineers? Or is it the literal meaning of "Porche are not made to use diesel engies" in that if you put a diesel engine in a porche, the car would break?
