Um no MkII Touareg ?
And pigs will fly.
VW will continue to push the Touareg brand well into the 2nd generation.
World wide sales have more then blown VAG executives' expectations away ... naive to think a MkII is not on the way.
Look out for the hot weather testing spy shots at a sandy and somewhat desert South African location near you soon ... lol
News flash - VW compete directly with Audi in many marketing segments. And still sell.
Better luck next time with the "swansong" rumour.

'Suitably the R50 gives the 0 – 100km/h time a good wink in just 6.5 seconds, making it about as quick as the Golf R32', creating enough carbon emissions to keep an entire city warm in the British winter. Thanks VW.

If you are worried about carbon emissions plant more trees then and stop crying.

radmeister, stfu. And a 0-100 kph in 6.5 really suck for a V10. Diesel is definitively not made for real cars.

Lelu, if you look at figures and compare performance/fuel consumption you will see that a high performance diesel like in this car is the middle ground as it offers a good ratio between the two. Any car maker can make a big engine that sucks more fuel than a 747 and goes off the line like crazy, but what about when you are just lurking through the city at 30mph? And seeing how this is an SUV and there is potential for it to tow something this diesel is perfect, high performance, good fuel economy, and crazy torque for towing capacity. Seems like you like talking out of your rear.

this things a tank! saw a video of it pulling a plane with all that torque it's got lol

ohhh lelu, thats why audis been using it in their race cars and has been winning for quite some time now year after year for le mans you dumb sh*t lol

even with a diesel engine I bet economy isn't great and it's still huge. Plus it's little brother the Tiguan looks nicer
