i guess the car would fly right off the track if that were to happen :P
i'm pretty sure by the looks of it, it only comes up when over a specific speed..

Best Exhaust design on the planet!! One of the most beautiful cars ever produced..

Not produced..yet.Altho I think thats the best concept I've seen In a long while I doubt It will make into production the way It is or even similiar to this, which Is a shame because It looks stunning.
The wings are probably deployable only at highter speeds for downforce.

What are all those air intakes and the heat exhaust vents in the back for? Are they to cool off your luggage or have they placed the radiators in the rear?

That's what I was thinking...only I would say forget Lexus and forget the V10...rework the 2JZ with modern technology and badge it as a Supra...the 2JZ proved to be bulletproof with 1000+hp and did so with less liters.

Didnt they do that to the 2JZ and put it in the IS300? I was under the impression it was the 2JZ with a VVT head. I know of ppl that have 720hp single turbo IS300s. Well the problem with doing that is that in order to squeeze 500hp out of a supra you have to ignore every emission law out there, it's just no longer feasible due to emission standards to create a highly boosted low displacement engine. UNLESS you do what porsche did and put in some variable blade turbos in there and a fancy ECU, but thats too much $ in development when they can use this new V10 in their other luxury vehicles.

You may be right, I never even thought of putting those two engines together...The 3.0 V6 may have been derived from the 2JZ 3.0 I6, although I have to wonder how you start with one engine, re-work it, end up with less hp, and call that an advancement. Also, the GTR is just shy of 500hp, and I'm sure it's emissions are up to par, which brings me back to "122"s post. All of the Japanese manufacturers have brought back their sports cars from the early 90's except Toyota, and have all been successful. The Supra used to compete with the 300zx, Rx7, etc. It would just be interesting to seem them go straight at the GTR (why bother with the 350z? Save that for the ugly FT-HS concept with the snow plow on the front or the possible upcoming carolla RWD coupe) and if they're going to do that they should do what Porsche has always done and stay true to their history and go with an I6 TT configuration...just my opinion of course

It has considerably the same HP IS300 215 HP SAE @ 5,800 rpm; 218 ft lb , 296 Nm @ 3,800 rpm. Supra non TT 2JZ-GE 168 @ 6000 (225 hp) 290.0 @ 4800 (213 ft/lb. The differences are probably due to restrictions made by emission laws and fuel efficiency improvements. But you cant compare the TT Supra to the N/A IS300 and wonder why it has 100hp/100lbft less.

I stand corrected, although I think you still missed my point...perhaps you were too preoccupied with proving me wrong, rather than sticking to the point...either way I know now to be extremely specific in my posts, because if I say 2JZ fully having the TT version in mind, then I should clarify. I did think it would be clear that I wasn't suggesting a 225hp engine would be "sweet" in this car. I was simply stating I would rather see this be the new Supra as opposed to the concepts that Toyota is offering, in which case I'd like to see a TT I6 in it.
