Cross-over SUV? A dying market and one that Tata will have covered with Land Rover. Leave Jaguar to be what it is - and don't go jumping on every bandwagon traundling through town.
Good news on the F-Type though. I just hope they can shrink the XK/KF platform to do it, have some decent engines and give it a restyle before it goes into production.

I'm glad someone here is appalled by the idea of a Jaguar CUV! There is nothing prestigious about a crossover, so come off it, Tata. Though, I do hope if the F-Type goes into production it resembles the old XK8/R because that is one magnificent looking car. The new one is pretty, don't get me wrong, but the last-gen XK8 is just better.

Looks the same as the previous version of the XK, nice car but pointless when it looks like the XK from 10 years ago.

so they aren't going to sell it straight away as previously claimed- so many rumours- lets hope this one is the true one.
four door XK? crossover SUV? whilst you're jumping on the bandwagons don't forget a MINI rival and a mini-MPV TATA.

yes!! go for it Jag! They should have built the f-type instead of the x-type. but again, as long as aston was in the same family, they had to play the second guitar. let's just hope tata keeps the production of Jaguar and Land Rover in Britain.

No no no. Jag can not make sports cars. they can make saloons but not sports cars. just look how stupid it looks. its like ford building boats. drop the pretend play.

to astonmartindb9: do you really believe the f-type will look like this?? the f-type concept is eight years old (I think) and has the previous jaguar design. so the production model will almost certainly look more like the current xk/xf.

Jaguar cannot make sports cars LOL- did the xk140 and E-type never exist? Come off it, the aforementioned cars were 2 of the greatest sports cars ever.
