SEAT could spring a sweet surprise at Geneva by unveiling this upcoming Ibiza there. These pictures were leaked on the Internet this morning and show a vastly improved interior for Ibiza.
Having been out in the market since 2002, the current model is due for replacement this year and this Bocangera looks to be it. Ibiza plays in the same space as VW Polo, Daihatsu Sirion, Toyota Yaris hatch and Ford Fiesta. Not a bad drive on its own, Ibiza has been let down by bland design in the past, something the new car will evidently overcome with one fell swoop. Worst has been the interior. Now this has been sorted out as the images show, even though the route taken is simplistic, clean design.
Engines will run from 1.0-litre petrol and small diesels, all the way up to the 1.8 Cupra whose bag will contain tricks worth up to 150kW. VW Group’s 1.4 TSI will make its presence felt too.
