The is going to turn out really good looking from these picture we can be sure of that! Really pleased with the rear of the car Loving IT! But I wish they dont repeat the so called "four eyes" front headlights of the current E-Class.
I wanna peel the rest of the disguise off right NOW!

I saw the new line up of mb product at a local motor show. Man I really don't understand why so many people are obsessed over their cars. They look like old person cars on the inside and out. Even their roadsters look like they belong in florida/arizona hauling 70 year old's that still wear gold chains.

hey Joe. dont you realize they look like this is because, only older people can afford Mercedes. Buddy dont be a hater LOL

More likely you're an immature teenage boyracer who'd actually kill to be seen at the wheel of a CLS 63 AMG wearing your worn out skater cap around your latin ghetto ;)

and Joe we oldster, dont wear gold chains anymore, we were stainless steel and Platimun cause we can and by the way Iam ordering a SL63 and I only 45 years old!

Sharp angles in the correct amount means character, which the current E-class lacked so much. In person I'm sure it's gonna look fine, despite its western european taxi aura.

I'm sure it will still be one of the top sellers for MB. You know what they say about opinions...they are like *ssholes...they all stink...why don't we wait till the curtain drops on this one to make a judgement.

The styling is quite predictable, much like the audi family. Quite frankly there are more exciting cars to look at.

Styling is safe & really predictable, nothing to get excited about on the outside.

How can anyone pass judgment on a car so heavily disguised? I have seen other pics of this car.... i think this car has the lexus front lights. Am I right?

I think am going to buy the last model of the current generation E class...I don't like the polarized designs of todays cars..following bangles every where!
March 4, 2008 9:28 am
polarized design is the way to go, so... better yet, buy a mercedes 180D from the 50's

Im sorry, but someone at autobild HAS to be screwing someone of the Mercedes desgin team http://benzinsider.com/2007/02/autobild-the-new-2009-mercedes-e-class/
anyway, the current E class looks like a very classy/classic Mercedes, kinda boring, but still looks good, the facelift made it edgy, but still not so much. Anyway, I like this so far (we can't really judge you guys) I looks edgy, but yet still has that class of a Mercedes-Benz.

I guess the new SL (really can't call it new, its still the R230 Chassis) is a really love or hate design. I am in the Love camp, especially in the AMG guise(Non AMG does look a bit awkward at the front). The new E-Class I think it will be good looking. It has to be, because its Merc's biggest selling car. I am sure Merc will keep its conservative approach, rather than taking a radical approach like BMW's 5-Series. I wouldn't judge the car right now, but so far so good. But I wish the car has a more swooping roof like the CLS.
Although I am a Merc fans, I don't know, I might actually try out a Jag XF. It does look like younger car comparing to the E-Class. But as I said, I will wait for its debut then make my decision.
